Wonders how many times he'll miss the 'w' out when spelling Pownce in the future.

Ollie, I had similar worries - ponce seems to be a British thing - I had to check on the Wikipedia page though and was amused to find that there is a ship called the USS Ponce. Anyway, I digress! :)

@publicenergy: Quietly laughs to himself. I say quietly in case the American's are listening to me giggling at the name of their ship. :P

Oh, and if you need an invite Mashable has a great invite sharing thing going on, I heard they're getting invites out to people in less than 10 minutes after they comment. Check it.

I tried Mashable, I never got an invite. :/
Also, since I haven't gotten one yet, mind sending me one of those two?

Facebook is the only true social network. That's not fanboy talk, that's hardcore research and analysis talk. And I plan on blogging about it later on tonight.

Yep, I've found the site to be finally down as well. Lasted quite a while though, given the level of activity this evening...

Back working for me now...
After playing with this for a while, I don't think it's going to replace Twitter and Twitterific in my day to day. Anyone else having some withdrawal symptoms regarding Twitter?

Pownce's mail servers are very slow (or busted), I think.
Instead of sending another invite to someone that hasn't received their first, check the invites pane in Pownce and e-mail them their invite code.
Tyme
Written Jul. 2, 2007 / Report /
Oooh, Rich that is a very smart idea. :)
No one is saying if they like it, dislike it. Obviously it's better than Joost LOL but is it better then Twitter?
Ollie
Written Jul. 2, 2007 / Report /
So far I'm liking it. Twitter is very much for the moment. "What are you doing right now?", but Pownce seems to be more geared towards interacting with friends (as the note has a reply function). It has more functionality as well and just looks nicer, it will be interesting to see if people move over and leave Twitter.
