2 CommentsThe Open Laboratory: The Best Writing on Science Blogs 2006 (http://www.lulu.com/content/631016) just came out, and the story behind it is here. I have a post in it, and I've read many of the other 49 submissions. They cover a wide range of topics and there's some great stuff in there! I think these types of projects are a great idea, and even more targeted/topical science blog anthologies seem to have good potential to spark public interest in science, if done correctly.

I have the book in the mail already. I didn't make it, but many of the bloggers I read regularly did make it. I hope this becomes an annual thing. 50 posts a year is easy. Maybe in time the anthology could become a print repository of the best in science blogging.

I'm fairly new to science blogging so although I read most of the blogs that got their post included, I'm almost sure I haven't read all the great posts.
mndoci, I agree that this should become a yearly thing.
I'm going to try and save a couple of bucks to see if I can buy this. Anyone want to purchase it for me as a late xmas present? :)
