It's pretty late right now so perhaps they'll fix this by the time anyone reads this Note, but TED.com (the big conference website) is having some serious issues at the moment. A few hundred lines of PHP code is sitting at the top of all pages on their website, with their full database information (with password) in there as well. Looks like they use Symfony.

I saved the source here if anybody is interested, though I'm not sure if there are any legal issues associated with putting that up for public viewing. 99.9999% of the code is generic Symfony PHP code that you can find anywhere, but there are some interesting tidbits scattered about if you're a geek like me.

I sent in a contact form submittal at their website alerting them to the problem, and I'll update this note if they get back to me.

How you always come across this stuff is beyond me.

That's probably Arrington getting back at Le Meur?

Here in case you missed what I'm talking about.

That Arrington/LeMeur scuffle was hilarious. I didn't know anyone could be that petty.

If I ran something like ted, I wouldn't invite techcrunch either. I'd want people with you know, open minds and civility.
