Does anyone have any experience adding / buying new RAM for a MacBook Pro?
I bought mine in March and have been thinking of jacking it up to 3Gigs and hear that you don't really need to buy Apple RAM, but that anything will work. I'm wondering how true this is (ie, does "work" mean work as well, or just "yeah, it won't necessarily make your laptop explode.)

i have a '87 dodge RAM. the old round style before they got all ugly.
from another thread you may want to see this APPLE link.
i know a doge RAM is more expensive than say a datsun or a nissan. but if they have a box then you can still haul stuff is what i always say. assuming this particular RAM is like my RAM, it will not matter. just make sure you get the right size.

Crucial.com!
Not "anything" will work, but they'll show you what will. Geil also makes good ram for apples. you just have to make sure you match the speeds right, and have a true set of chips for optimimum performance.

Ramjet!
They sell memory for macs. I got a lovely set of sticks for my Macbook from them. Pretty good prices and guaranteed compatibility. :)
