Because people hate my email signature, they think im a douche bag and conceited

What is your email signature?

sent from my iPhone

E-mail signatures are lame.

Is "sent from my iPhone" your email signature?

I typically just use either "- Alex" or, when I'm not too lazy to set one that's automatic, I use:

Alex Suraci
http://website.com/

I really don't use email signatures but when I use my iPhone to send emails
it automatically adds it, i know i can remove it but im to lazy to do it

I use "Sent from my iPhone" on everything, even on e-mails not originating from my iPhone. That way people will think I'm trendy.

Trendiness is important to me. Trendiness and warm socks, that's what's really vital in my world.

I am thinking that I will start using a custom mail template with a photo and some info in the header and footer rather than the signature. It is html based, so not quite as versatile, but a bit more stylish.

I usually uses

LMAO too cute.

Name, URL, email. Very boring. I should do something to add some umph to that.

Tyme, you email them your email address?

"Sent from Microsoft Outlook"

hahaha

mine is simply:

greg | www.toonice4tv.com

email: my email address
aim: toonice4tv

just my name, no email links.

All personal mail has no sig. Never has. Never will.

My work email contains

Carl T. Holscher
GE Consumer and Industrial
Desktop Support - National Customer Service Center

804-965-1049
Carl.Holscher@ge.com

I use the following as my e-mail signature:

Jessica Sideways
http://buddhasm.com/
You want "One nation under god"? Move your insane, delusional ass to Iran.

Did anyone ever run across this tutorial on making super sweet HTML email signatures? If not, here's the link:

I like the image. It's a nice touch.

At home, I just put "- Adam" like I've been doing for years. Sometimes I forget, but they can see my name in the header anyway. At work, we have signatures that we're supposed to use ala corporate branding but only for new messages. I don't spam signatures into replies and forwards.

Now back in the BBS days, I made really nice ANSI signatures for my and others' accounts on the boards. C0loR wA$ KeWL bACk tHEn, yA kNoW.

Tyme, you email them your email address?

Once upon a time there was a woman that had her email address in her signature. Then, upon reading a comment about it she realized she merged all her email addresses together for 9rules and it's sort of silly to have the one email address there and she removed it from her signature, because she must maintain her flava cool reputation.

My full name in all lower case letters and two "**" 's on either side. :)

Artist, Animator and Idiot Savant.

Y'all ain't ready for mine... it looks better with a wider layout:

I don't use an emal sig, but my sigs on forums or other places where it makes sense to have them switch between:-

"Closed minds should come with closed mouths"
or
"You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing!"
or
"It's not guns that kill people, it's people... or monkeys...... with guns!"

I am thinking about making a new CSS-based e-mail signature.

Ralph, the use of "Sent from my iPhone" I believe is quite appropriate especially in a business sense. Sometimes when I step out to lunch or out of the office and I reply to e-mails clients, or co-workers understand why the response was so short or if I should be contacted at a later time, or sometimes since they know I am not around the office they will resort to call me.

Then again, you have to make sure that your iPhone signature is also default for e-mail sent from your local machine.

My signature is pretty boring: Name, Email, URL (and well, depending on who its to, a link to my full vCard.)

I have been thinking about putting hCard code as an email signature just to see.

More often than not my signature these days is:

-Jackson

Sent from my Blackberry

I don't use one by default.

If I do it's just:
name
cell#

This is a shot from my iPod... of it's sig.

iPod Sig

I just use some combination of:

-t

-T

-Trev

-TrevorLee

(etc)

sometimes if it's someone I've never communicated with, I put my web address and tel#.

One of the things I hate about signatures, is they way many people mis-represent themselves in it...like they'll list part of this org, and this org, and etc...and well, it's just tacky, especially when you know their involvement was minimal at best...

years ago I used to have fancy perl expressions, or something witty...now there's other places to use those...I like email to be simple and straight forward...

oh and warm sock ROCK!!!

I usually have a corny motivational quote. Right now - "You can quit and they won't care - but you will always know." Sgt. John Collins

The information transmitted in this email is intended only for the person(s) or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material. Any review, retransmission, dissemination or other use of, or taking of any action in reliance upon, this information by persons or entities other than the intended recipient is prohibited. If you received this email in error, please contact the sender and permanently delete the email from any computer.

Sure, I didn't actually put it there, but still. The truth is, if I manage to drop my name at the end of an email then I consider my day a resounding success. My distaste for contrived motivation prevents me from quoting others.

Yeah my work email is just my first name... I don't need to foof up company emails to act like I'm pretending to be happy or "cute".
